Violent lips

I first heard about violent lips on twitter when Jessie J posted saying she has never used them. Intreiged as to what they were I did a quick google and found this site:

http://www.violentlips.com/

There are some pretty amazing patterns on there an I really wanted to try them out. At the time you could only purchase them on line and in really random shops, I got mine from Cyber dog in Camden, but now they sell a range on boots.com and in store (and they are cheaper too).

I bought - glitterarti in pink, pink polka dots and pink leopard print.

I've tried the first two and although I really wanted them to work I wasn't having much luck. The site explains how to measure your lips and apply but I found mine either peeled of the edges, stuck together or cracked as soon as they were on. I also found that when they were trimmed they were either too small or too big, there seemed to be no in between for me.I'm sure it is me as lots of people rave about them on their facebook page and twitter so I won't give up just yet. Has anyone else tried them with success?

but sticking together...

Polka dots, but I felt a bit like a clown in them

too big me thinks?

OPI heaven!

OK - so far I've not been doing a great job of using what I already have but I've really struggled as I've seen so many pretty things - eeek! Although I did watch 'confessions of a shopaholic' the other day which reminded me of why I do need to do this.

So lately I've become obsessed with my nails. I am a life long nail biter but on occasion I manage to grow myself a decent set of nails which just beg to be painted.

My obsession with OPI started in May 2011 in Mexico where I managed to get a manicure from the Burlesque (the movie) range called 'Sparklicious'. It was love at first sight but sadly I had missed the run on that one, as all the movie ranges are limited edition. I have finally tracked it down for a decent price on Ebay and eagerly await it's arrival. Photos to follow....

So more recently I fell in love with the limited edition Muppets range and in particular 'Rainbow connection'. As before it sold out pretty much immediately and I couldn't get it any where :(
My lovely husband search high and low for me for Christmas but it seemed you could only get it at an extortionate price on Ebay. He got lots of strange looks from bemused shop assistants and I got two amazing Muppets nails varnishes for Christmas - ' Divine Swine ' and 'Fresh Frog of Bel Air' and they are amazing (sorry poor pictures).

On a rare trip to Westfield- White City, where I like to indulge on make-up Rocky spotted OPI heaven....

ahhhhhahhahahahahhahahah (that was heavenly music in case you wondered!). Colourcopia housed all 250 current shades of OPI but sadly not 'rainbow collection' we were again too late, until a very helpful assistant pointed me to the Nicole by OPI range where the new Kardashain Kolor range has 'Rainbow in the s-kylie' which is identical!! wooo hooo! In the space of a few short minutes I purchased 'Rainbow in the s-kylie', 'follow me on glitter' from Nicole by OPI, 'temptation' from the OPI designer series and 'It's my year' from the OPI Miss Universe collection :) expensive but worth it!

What can I say I am obsessed!

The cape...

Mine is black :)

Very good very! Must try harder primark!

So I haven't had time to post a full entry this week but I just quickly want to review the new service from very and my quick whizz around primark today.

So a couple of weeks ago I found the most gorgeous feather cape on very.co.uk which I NEEDED! I know this is against my new ethos but I simply couldn't live with out it. So I ordered it on line and came across the delivery option called- collect+, it's free delivery and they'll deliver to a range of shops involved in the scheme near to you. Within 2 days I received a text message saying my parcel had arrived, so off I went to my local costcutter (my nearest shop in the scheme). Waiting for me was my lovely parcel and after giving the man my order number and proving who I was the cape was mine! All in all an excellent service, really quick and free delivery and free returns, what more could you want?!

So I popped into primark today (it's hard to resist) just to look around. I found three lovely things I wanted but put back due to the extortionate prices, what happened to primark prices?

1-Thin knitted union jack jumper £15 and it felt like it would shrink in one wash and that the material would go squeaky, if you know what I mean?

2- A light silver and gold Cardigan £13 way over priced.

3- Finally a lovely tweed caped jacket- very Sherlock Holmes like with a purple shot through it. Not waterproof, probably not warm and was £35 no way!! I just couldn't and wouldn't pay that for that. In old primark prices it would gave been £14 tops, do they think we haven't noticed increases?

More posts to come as I tackle the shoe room.... Xx
